BIOMETRIC FINGERPRINT IDENTIFICATION

BIOMETRIC FINGERPRINT IDENTIFICATION
The intricate lines making up the design of a fingertip, unique to each human being, are called minutiae. Points are assigned to them which are at specific distances to one another, a unique recognition pattern which is then converted into an algorithmic number code stored in encrypted form. This data can never reproduce the original fingerprint, but the fingerprint can be recognized from it, and with that, a  person can be legally identified.  When a person places his or her finger on the scanner, it  compares the fingerprint with the stored reference pattern. The scanner recognizes the person  and according to the programming, the software knows what to do.

From the image provided by the finger scanner, specific data is collected for each fingerprint, which is sufficient for storing identity verification and can be later compared with future fingerprint scans. A replica of a fingerprint cannot be reconstructed from the minutia data, because this is unique to every human being and should only belong to him or her.

THE INITIAL 'LEARINING' OF A FINGERPRINT
IS CALLED ENROLLMENT.

THE INITIAL 'LEARINING' OF A FINGERPRINT
This can take place anywhere where our small finger scanners are installed. Whether on a construction site, in a private home or in the personnel department of a large company – the learning process  is simple and the software is easy to use. When scanning, however, it takes some care in order to allow a quick and reliable comparison of the fingerprint on a terminal. For additional security, a second finger is scanned, which makes identification possible in the event that a finger is injured.

THE SYSTEM KNOWS ME.
VERIFICATION: THAT'S WHO I REALLY AM.
AUTHENTIFICATION: I MAY DO THAT.

JERRA GLOBAL ID is one of the first purely web-based solutions for registering and managing biometric access data. Digital networking makes our system extremely maneuverable and adaptable. Access authorizations can be issued anywhere on small mobile scanners and managed centrally via the web. This saves companies up to 15% in administrative costs! The biometrically encrypted data can be stored on a server or in the cloud – and is also secured directly on the scanners. For the initial acquisition of the fingerprint, the devices must be equipped with an appropriate reader, i.e. reader or mini-scanner. With regard to the initial recording of the fingerprints, our sensors differ from conventional sensors which are installed in mobile phones, for example. We use so-called surface sensors, which are much more precise than the usual swipe sensors on the market, which are activated by the swipe of a thumb.  In this case the picture quality depends on the speed of the swipe. The software must compile the image in the background, which cannot have the same quality as a surface sensor or optical sensor. For the satisfaction of our customers, we only trust the best supplier for such systems – the Safran group, which has  40 years of  developmental experience in finger recognition systems and algorithms. Meanwhile, more than 1.000.000 fingerprint readers from this manufacturer are used worldwide.

THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA,
IS, OF COURSE, GUARANTEED.

THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA,
If someone were to pass personal data from a JERRA SYSTEM to unauthorized persons – which is highly unlikely – no one could begin to decipher it, because of the way it is encrypted. We guarantee this personally. In addition, a JERRA SOLUTION also offers the possibility of storing biometric data only on one card that remains in your personal possession. This means that people can verify themselves without entrusting their biometric data to a central administration.
